ALIGNED ADMIN TERMS OF USE
Effective date: November 2, 2026
ABOUT THESE TERMS
Aligned Admin is operated by Monique Cottrell as a sole proprietorship based in Mission, British Columbia, Canada.
These Terms of Use govern access to and use of Aligned Admin’s website, online courses, video library, digital books, reference materials, templates, toolkits, community, mentorship and related services.

Contact page: https://alignedadmin.com/contact/
By accepting these terms when creating an account or purchasing a product or service, you agree to follow them.
Product-specific descriptions, prices, access periods, licence permissions and other conditions clearly presented before purchase also form part of your purchase agreement. A separate written agreement may apply to a brokerage package, group enrolment, consultation or other customized service.
If purchasing on behalf of a business, you confirm that you have authority to make the purchase and accept the applicable terms for that business.
Nothing in these terms excludes or restricts rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.
PRODUCTS AND PURCHASE INFORMATION
Review the product description, inclusions, format, access period, price and applicable policies before purchasing.
Courses, the video library, books, reference collections, toolkits and mentorship are distinct offerings. A purchase includes only the products and services expressly identified in the offer.
Bundles may contain materials also available individually. Check your existing purchases to avoid duplication. Purchasing overlapping resources does not automatically create an entitlement to a credit or refund.
Prices are in Canadian dollars unless another currency is expressly identified. Review the currency, applicable taxes, recurring charges and total payable at checkout before completing your purchase.
A price change does not alter an order already accepted. Changes to an existing subscription are addressed in section 11.
ACCOUNTS AND SECURITY
Provide accurate account and purchase information and keep your contact details current.
Course and video-library accounts are assigned to individual learners. Do not share login credentials or allow multiple people to use one learner account unless a separate arrangement expressly permits it.
You are responsible for taking reasonable steps to protect your credentials and notifying us promptly of suspected unauthorized access.
If purchasing access for an assistant or employee, arrange enrolment for the intended learner. Purchasing on another person’s behalf does not automatically provide access to their private communications, assignments or results.
Do not attempt to bypass access restrictions or use another person’s account without authorization.
COURSE ACCESS AND COMPLETION
Your course access period is the period disclosed for your purchase. Where 12 months of access is stated, it runs from enrolment unless the purchase information specifies a different start date.
Fixed-period course access does not automatically renew unless a renewal arrangement is expressly disclosed and agreed to before purchase.
Course completion requirements are described within the course. They may include lessons, knowledge checks, scenarios, assignments, corrections and a final capstone. Purchasing access alone does not establish completion.
Any Certificate of Completion records completion of the stated Aligned Admin requirements. It does not confer a real estate licence, professional designation, statutory qualification or authority to perform licensed activities.
No regulatory approval, accreditation or continuing-education recognition is represented unless expressly identified for the particular offering.
Course access does not include employment placement, individualized mentorship, consultation calls or transaction-specific advice unless expressly included.
DIGITAL PRODUCT DELIVERY AND ACCESS
Digital products may be supplied through downloadable files, Thinkific access or a How to Start guide linking to Google Drive resources.
The product description identifies the delivery format. Some resources are PDFs; others are editable documents or spreadsheets. Not every resource is editable or downloadable.
You are responsible for having a suitable device, internet connection and compatible software. Google resources may require a Google account.
Restricted resources must be accessed using the account authorized for your purchase. Contact us if your purchase email and Google account email differ. Do not request editing rights to shared master resources.
Where copying or downloading is permitted, create private working copies before entering business, employee, candidate or client information.
Private copies, downloads and printed materials do not update automatically. A purchase does not promise lifetime updates, indefinite hosting or permanent access to a particular third-party platform unless expressly stated.
If access is missing or a supplied link does not work, contact us with your purchase details. We will investigate and provide access or an appropriate remedy consistent with your purchase agreement and applicable law.
PERMITTED USE OF BOOKS AND REFERENCES
Unless a product-specific licence states otherwise, the original purchaser and authorized people within one purchasing business may read, download, print and make private working copies of purchased books and references for reasonable internal learning and business use.
Workbook exercises may be completed and adapted for that business’s own planning and administration.
These permissions do not extend to unrelated businesses, public distribution, resale or repackaging as another product.
Course and video-library access remain subject to individual learner-account rules, even where associated written resources permit internal business use.
PERMITTED USE OF TOOLKITS AND TEMPLATES
Unless otherwise stated before purchase, one purchasing business may download, copy, complete and adapt toolkit resources for its own internal operations.
You may send appropriately customized job advertisements, candidate communications, assessments, offer documents, employee-facing materials and transaction communications to their intended recipients as part of that business’s authorized activities.
Keep evaluator guidance, scores, internal records and confidential information restricted to appropriate people.
Do not share blank master templates, source links or the toolkit itself with other businesses or the public.
Providing administrative services to multiple client businesses does not automatically authorize use of a single-business licence across all those businesses. Contact Aligned Admin to arrange the appropriate permissions.
A separate brokerage or group agreement may specify named users, locations, permitted businesses, seat limits, reassignment rules and access periods. Those expressly agreed conditions govern that package.
OWNERSHIP AND RESTRICTIONS
Purchasing access grants the applicable permission to use the material. It does not transfer copyright or ownership.
Aligned Admin’s original materials remain its intellectual property. Third-party forms, wording, software, trademarks and other materials remain subject to their respective owners’ rights and applicable usage conditions.
You must not:
• Resell, publicly post or redistribute purchased materials or access links outside the applicable licence.
• Share course, video-library or mentorship accounts.
• Record, download or redistribute protected videos where downloading has not been authorized.
• Remove ownership notices from source materials or claim those materials as your own original work.
• Include Aligned Admin materials in another paid product, course, template library or commercial training offering without written permission.
• Bypass technical protections or access restrictions.
These restrictions do not prevent customization and communication expressly permitted under your licence or uses otherwise permitted by applicable law.
EDUCATIONAL PURPOSE AND PROFESSIONAL BOUNDARIES
Aligned Admin provides educational information, administrative resources and practical workflow guidance.
The materials and services do not replace current legislation, regulatory requirements, brokerage procedures, executed agreements or advice from an appropriately qualified professional.
No material, demonstration, completed assignment or mentorship response authorizes an unlicensed person to perform activities requiring a licence.
Real estate advice, clause selection, negotiation, contract interpretation and transaction-specific decisions must be referred to the responsible licensed professional, managing broker or other appropriate adviser.
Employment agreements, offer documents and other legal templates require customization and appropriate professional review before use. Clause examples are educational illustrations, not assurances that wording is suitable or enforceable for a particular transaction.
Do not treat Aligned Admin support as legal, tax, investment or other regulated professional advice.
You and the responsible professionals must verify information, instructions, calculations, dates and documents before relying on them in live work.
MENTORSHIP AND COMMUNITY SUPPORT
Where included in your purchase, mentorship provides direct messaging support through the designated Aligned Admin Slack workspace and access to the Thinkific community.
Support covers practical questions about administrative workflows, organization, communication, using existing systems and applying learning within your authorized role.
There is no fixed monthly question limit. Keep related questions together and provide enough general context for a useful response.
Replies are provided personally within one business day, Monday to Friday, excluding British Columbia statutory holidays. This is an asynchronous messaging service, not continuous live chat or an emergency service. A response may identify further information needed; it does not guarantee final resolution within that period.
Consultation calls, substantial document reviews, custom resource creation and hands-on implementation are separately scoped and quoted. Additional charges require your agreement before that work begins.
Mentorship does not include acting as your managing broker, lawyer, employer, transaction supervisor or substitute decision-maker. Urgent transaction issues and deadlines must be directed to the person responsible for the file.
Slack access is arranged after purchase using the instructions in your offer. Membership-based access is available during your paid access period.
MEMBERSHIP BILLING AND CANCELLATION
Where you purchase a monthly mentorship subscription, the price, currency, taxes and billing frequency are disclosed before payment.
The subscription renews automatically each month at the agreed rate unless cancelled. There is no minimum term beyond the current paid monthly period unless a different arrangement was expressly agreed before purchase.
Cancel future renewals through My Account → Billing in Thinkific by selecting Cancel beside your subscription. You may also email [email protected] from your purchase email address to request cancellation. Include the membership name and enough information to identify your account. No special form is required.
Cancel before the next billing date to stop the next renewal. Where applicable law gives you additional cancellation rights, those rights apply.
Mentorship support and membership-based Slack access continue until the end of your current paid period, then end. Community access separately held through another eligible purchase follows that purchase’s access conditions.
If you believe a payment was taken after an effective cancellation, contact us promptly so we can investigate and correct any error.
We will not change the subscription price or materially reduce the agreed service during a paid period. Any proposed change for a future period will be communicated in advance, with any notice, consent and cancellation rights required by applicable law. Posting revised terms alone does not change your existing subscription agreement.
REFUNDS
Your statutory rights apply regardless of the policies below.
Foundations & Operations course
A purchaser may request a refund in writing within 14 calendar days of the original purchase date, provided:
• The learner has completed no more than 20% of the course.
• The final capstone has not been submitted.
• A Certificate of Completion has not been issued.
• There has been no unauthorized sharing, redistribution or other material misuse of the course.
Send requests to [email protected] with the purchaser’s name, enrolment email and purchase date.
Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method. Refunded access is removed, and permission to use the refunded materials ends.
This course policy does not automatically apply to separately purchased books, references, toolkits, video-library access or mentorship.
One-time digital products and video-library access
Unless a different refund offer was disclosed before purchase, change-of-mind refunds are not offered once the purchased download, linked resource or video-library access has been supplied.
If you request cancellation before access or delivery has been supplied, we will cancel and refund the purchase.
Contact us promptly about missing access, incorrect delivery, duplicate charges or a product materially different from its description. We will investigate and provide any remedy required by your agreement or applicable law.
Mentorship subscriptions
Cancelling stops future renewals. The current paid period is not ordinarily refunded or prorated solely because you stop using the service or cancel partway through the month. Support remains available through that paid period.
This does not exclude refunds or other remedies required by law, including where services have not been supplied as agreed.
Group purchases and bundles
Any group or bundle refund conditions disclosed before purchase apply. Where an order includes products with different refund conditions, contact us for an assessment of the order. Do not assume the course refund policy applies to every bundle component.
PRIVACY AND CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.
Use fictional or appropriately anonymized examples in assignments, community posts and support requests. Do not submit confidential client files, candidate records, signed transaction documents, identification, banking details, passwords or other sensitive third-party information.
Private messages are still processed through the relevant service provider. A direct message is not a substitute for your brokerage’s approved confidential-file systems.
Other members can see information you post in shared channels or community spaces. Do not disclose another person’s information without appropriate authority.
Any reporting to an employer or brokerage must follow the arrangements established with appropriate notice, consent or other lawful authority.
COMMUNITY CONDUCT AND SUBMISSIONS
Communicate respectfully and keep participation relevant to the service.
Harassment, discriminatory conduct, threats, spam, unauthorized solicitation and posting material you have no right to share are prohibited.
You retain any rights you hold in your original submissions. You authorize Aligned Admin to use those submissions as reasonably necessary to administer learning, provide feedback, operate the community and deliver purchased support.
Posting in a shared space permits other authorized members to view and respond within that space. It does not give them permission to redistribute your material publicly.
We will obtain permission before using identifiable submissions, private messages or testimonials in public marketing or turning private questions into identifiable shared examples.
We may moderate or remove content that breaches these rules or creates a privacy or security concern.
THIRD-PARTY PLATFORMS
Thinkific, Google, Slack, Loom and other third-party platforms have their own terms, privacy practices and technical requirements.
Software interfaces, features and availability may change. Demonstrations show the version and workflow available when recorded and may differ from your current interface.
We do not control third-party outages or changes. If a disruption materially affects purchased access or support, contact us so we can assess an alternative arrangement or appropriate remedy.
ACCURACY AND OUTCOMES
We take reasonable care in preparing materials and providing services, but information and requirements can change.
We do not promise a particular employment, hiring, business, income, transaction or regulatory outcome. Results depend on factors including your circumstances, application, supervision and decisions.
An educational disclaimer does not remove our obligation to supply products and services as agreed or any responsibility imposed by applicable law.
SUSPENSION AND ENDING ACCESS
We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to address account compromise, non-payment, unauthorized sharing, serious misconduct or another material breach of the purchase agreement.
Where appropriate, we will explain the concern and give a reasonable opportunity to resolve it. Immediate restrictions may be necessary for serious privacy, security or safety issues.
Any decision about ending paid access, stopping future charges or providing a refund will take account of the circumstances, the agreement and applicable law.
Expiry or cancellation of hosted access does not, by itself, revoke a continuing licence to downloaded materials where your purchase expressly granted one. Refunds and termination for material misuse may affect that permission as permitted by the agreement and law.
QUESTIONS AND DISPUTES
Contact [email protected] with concerns about access, billing, materials or services. Include your purchase details and a description of the issue without unnecessary confidential information.
We will seek to resolve concerns reasonably. Contacting us does not waive your rights to seek independent advice, contact a regulator, use an available complaint process or pursue a legal remedy.
These terms do not require mandatory arbitration, prohibit lawful reviews or waive participation in a class proceeding.
The laws of British Columbia and applicable federal laws of Canada govern these terms, subject to any mandatory protections or jurisdictional rights that apply to you.
CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
We may update these terms for future purchases and ongoing website use. The effective date identifies the current version.
Changes do not retroactively remove rights, reduce purchased access or impose new payment obligations on an existing purchase.
For existing subscriptions or other continuing agreements, material changes require the notice, consent and cancellation rights applicable to that agreement and the law.
GENERAL
If a provision is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to the extent legally permitted. This does not validate an otherwise unlawful term.
A failure to enforce a provision on one occasion does not automatically waive the right to enforce it later.
Your purchase agreement consists of these terms, the product-specific information and policies presented before purchase, your order confirmation and any separate written agreement expressly applicable to your purchase.
A later access guide may explain how to use your purchase, but does not silently reduce permissions or benefits promised before purchase.
If information conflicts, contact Aligned Admin for clarification. A specific term expressly agreed for your purchase governs the same subject over a general term, subject always to applicable law.
